Well, here's the forum in it's new 'toned down' guise. Does too much colour offend people? I argue that people of an artistic nature wouldn't be but we've gone for the easy on the eye option which, admittedly, is better for displaying members' art. We shall see and feel free to comment and let us know what you think.
We built this city ... I mean site on baked beans on toast. That's a shoestring to anyone that thinks beans aren't for breakfast, lunch and tea. We worked 20 hours a day oftentimes more and have put our hearts and souls into it. We wanted to build a place where artisans from all walks could gather, interact, promote themselves and their art and build one awesome global community of artists, musicians, actors, writers, performers etc. We chose to go down the route of not charging in the belief that many artisans struggle and we didn't want to exclude anyone - so here it is - all free for you wonderful folk to use: join up, make your profiles rock, upload your music and art, get spotted, share your ups and downs, tips and tricks and make it big.
When we did some research we found that many, many new dating type sites buy false memberlists to make it look like they are already huge. Again we chose to go down the honest route - inviting friends and acquaintences to help us and some did - a big thank you to those. Also a big thank you to those who have joined anyway regardless of the fact that we don't have 10,000 members who never answer PMs or messages. :33: But we need more.
We need more friends and potential friends to come join us and help us get what will be the world's biggest online art repository off the ground. With that in mind we are, ourselves, social networking and inviting potential new friends to come and join us - what have you got to lose? It's FREE and as more sign up and post their work it will be a great deal of fun! I received a great response from fellow artists in NY now I just have to persuade them to join us here.
We need you, please come along and help us get this party started!
