Techno (that's me :cool:) and Artist (that's him :rolleyes:) are the two nutters that have dreamt up, created, coded, built, eaten, slept and breathed 'Are You An Artist' over the last couple of months ... or so, although the initial idea was first conceived about six years ago by him and his daft mate, Dave, from Preston.
We are not a big multinational corporation :eek: but a couple of creative 40 year olds living in a very small flat in Lancaster - the gateway to the Lake District. We figured it would be cool to have a web site (basically a forum that doesn't look like a forum) that did lots of neat stuff for peeps that were creative, like us, or even for those with just an interest in art of any kind.
He's the mad one, born creative - a traditional signwriter and has been for ... well ...forever really. He's done some really wierd stuff for exhibitions and the TATE Britain and has even featured on a Channel 4 documentary, with his daft mate, Dave, from Preston. He's a design god and really knows his stuff. He's worked all over from race tracks to raves and, from what he can remember, enjoyed every minute.
I'm the shy, quiet one. I've always been creative too but in a more behind the scenes kinda way. Love making stuff, love writing and, in more recent years, have developed a love of all things web and techinical.
Together we make an awesome team and have done some pretty amazing stuff insofar as the web is concerned. And we are looking forward to making some new friends and having some fun on here. We hope you are too and are happy to welcome you to Are You An Artist! ;)
